THE OIL FAIR

IN LES BORGES BLANQUES

In January, there is an Oil Fair in les Borges Blanques. It starts on Friday and it finishes on Sunday afternoon.

In the Oil Pavilion there are a lot of oil stands, one for each oil producer. There are lots of food stands too.

At the fair, you can taste different kinds of olive oil, and you can buy oil and other food like olives and cheese.

There is also a fun park near the Oil Pavilion.

On Saturday evening there is a live concert with Els Catarres, a famous Catalan pop group.

On Sunday morning, at 11 am, there is a colourful parades, the “Tres Tombs Parade”. In this parade, some floats and horses go around the Terrall Park three times. Also, there is a race.

We visit the fair with our friends and our families, and we buy things in the market.

We like the oil fair because we can do a lot of different things.
